Stavanger, Norway
Day #27 - 6 July 2003
Arne came out in his boat to greet us as we passed by their summer home,
"Holmen", on our cruise to the Pulpit Rock. Their island is directly behind the
boat.
A view of the "Pulpit Rock" (Preikestolen) from the Lysefjord. The top of
the rock is 604 meters (abt 1968 feet) above the fjord. We sat on the top about a week
ago.
On the 4th of July, Mari Anne Hall, Larry and Doug watched as this ship docked in the
harbor. It seemed big to us. We later learned it is the world's largest cruise ship and
was built by the Germans.
